Thank You JAH

Haile Selassie
Haile Selassie

The past several months have been several years
Am scarred and torn and cried out of tears
The system, the harlot and also my peers
They all played a part in this nightmare
Still me, myself and I, no one is to blame
I broke the vow and I feel the pain
Leaving my children and their mother in the rain
I dear not ask forgiveness only mercy
My home, my car and my family
All gone but it is prophesy

See am searching for my significant half
Am a King that needs a Queen to feed my thoughts
Someone to correspond to meds and to laugh
To reverence the Sabbath and the light in his last
Everlasting love that will forever last
Its good for my brain; its good for my heart
Show me the way, Oh God have mercy
Am fallen from glory and hit the ground
Rock bottom, on my belly like a worm
The earth is the Lords so JAH got me now
My beauty is smeared, am dissipated
Am fading, fire still blazing
Sparkles of beauty everywhere
They think am gone, but I am still here

Thank you JAH for another day
Morning by morning your mercy is brand new
Am ready to face whatever what may
Mercies and grace will carry me through

Wont you bless up, for the rising
Its a brand new day, a brand new feeling
Same old fight against the same old system
Brand new laws and the same old victims
Lawless people making laws what a something
The system is corrupted to the brim
If they burn up its no big thing
I am tired of being a victim

Thank you JAH for another day
Morning by morning your mercy is brand new
Am ready to face whatever what may
Pour more grace and carry me through

Yo I have spoken the truth, because I have no fear
And in the presence of my enemies JAH bless me yeah
In the fullness of glory you can look me up there
In the holy of the holiest my heavens is clear
Its been a long time coming, years on top of years
You have used I before this time no less than my share
Go over and around, am never under them yea

Thank you JAH for another day
Morning by morning your mercy is brand new
Am ready to face whatever what may
Pour more grace and carry me through
