Jamaica’s U-17 national football team defeated Trinidad and Tobago and now needs a little bit of help from Cuba. Should Cuba defeat Guatemala or at least hold them to a tie later this evening, that would put Jamaica in a playoff to qualify for the FIFI U-17 world Cup which will take place in Chile this coming October.
After losing to Honduras to begin their quest, the Jamaicans went on to defeat Guatemala, tie with Cuba and now defeating Trinidad. Should Guatemala beat Cuba, Jamaica will have to wait until their next game against the United States to decide their fate.
If the United States beat Honduras later tonight, then everything will be up in the air the next set of games, as all four teams: Jamaica, United States, Guatemala and Honduras will be in need of wins to guarantee a spot in the World cup.
Things could get very very exciting. GO REGGAE BOYZ!
