With his new hit song “I Ain’t Going Back Broke” that features Vybz Kartel, Mavado will soon be heading to Haiti to entertain the Haitians whose roots trace back to the same part of Africa as Jamaicans.

The gully god will perform during Haiti Live Fest on June 27, 2015 at the Centre Sportif Henfrasa, Delmas 33.

Mavado’s debut single, Real McKoy, on the Anger Management rhythm in 2004, provided him instant success. He further established himself with the follow-up record Weh Dem a Do, on the Red Bull & Guinness rhythm, that had the distinction of hitting Billboard.

The promoters of Haiti Live Fest has as their aim, conceptualising, programming and delivering unique experiences for Haitians, as well as bringing awareness to the need for renewable energy.

Working with the top entertainers in the world, their ambition is to deliver what most people have not experienced before, a world-class festival presented by world-class sponsors. The board of directors is comprised of private investors and artistes with vast knowledge and contacts within the music industry. Using that experience, they host benefit concerts, events, and fundraisers for the Caribbean and South American regions.

After a string of hits in 2005 and 2006, Mavado has catapulted his career while being featured on Grand Theft Auto IV, Massive B Radio, G-Unit’s track Let It Go, and presented with the UK MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act. Then in 2011, he launched his very own label, Mansion Records, where he debuted another hit single, Delilah.

Mavado has signed a deal with DJ Khaled’s record label, We The Best Music Group, where he has released four singles, I Ain’t Going Back Broke being his latest.
