A teacher was fired from his job and charged with a crime after he was accused of allowing students to have sex in class.

A parent discovered text messages between her 14-year-old son and middle school math teacher Quinton Wright.

“I was in a state of disbelief when I read all these messages,” the parent, who asked to remain anonymous, told 18 Karat Reggae. “Basically, he’s allowing the students to have sex in a storage room in his classroom.”

The texts, according to the mother, indicated her son could have sex in the classroom from 7:30 to 8:30. In one text, the teacher asked the teenager if he told the girl what was going to happen and that she could not tell anyone. Another text indicated the teacher did not have condoms to provide.

“It’s very sickening and disheartening because we trust administrators and educators when we drop our kids off at school,” the mother said.

The mother pulled her 8th grader from school on Friday and then filed a complaint. The DeKalb School System later removed the 25-year-old teacher from the classroom.

A judge later issued a warrant for Wright’s arrest on four misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

While it is sickening that a teacher would allow these actions, it is also sickening hearing the mother blaming the school administrators and teachers. Shouldn’t parent be the ones teaching their children that 14 year old children should not be having sex?

It is also sickening that the teacher is only charged with a misdemeanor. For a teacher to violate such important responsibility, he should have been charge with a felony.

  1. Don’t think the parent was expecting her son to be allowed to have sex during school cause she wasn’t there
Not something you always prepare for since you trust all is well Hello!

  2. I stand behind the mother 100% just as the school is responsible for our children until they return home…all the great parenting in the world is null and void if the people we entrust with the care of our children are irresponsible…the children are not safe….especially at an experimental age as 14…I wouldn’t be surprised if drugs weren’t involved as well…or the 25 year old teacher himself being involved sexually with students…and monetary compensation

    • Hmmm…. I see your point. I still believe that the values that parents instill in their children will follow them outside the presence of the parents. While the teacher is to be blamed and punished for his poor decision, I find it ridiculous that the mother in this case is acting like she is not to share in the blame.
