Alkaline has been confirmed to perform at Reggae Sumfest 2017 and the vendetta boss wants his fans and the entire Jamaica to know that he will not flop this time around.

The artist is promising his fans that his performance will be the best performance in the history of Reggae Sumfest. “Mi a di champion boy, so mi must give a champion performance on the champion show,” Alkaline says.

In 2013, Alkaline had a disastrous performance at Reggae Sumfest. In fact, “Alkaline flops” was the major headlines after the show. The performance was so bad that Alkaline did not perform in Jamaica for over three years. Self-proclaimed king of the dancehall made fun of Alkaline for not performing in Jamaica and even went as far as saying that he does not love his fans.

The gifted lyricist, Alkaline, was beginning to be thought of as the deejay who is an expert in the studio, a novice on the stage and a coward on an airplane, at least when seated beside Tommy Lee Sparta.

He might be shedding the coward label after he stepped up his street cred a few weeks ago when he was brought in by the police for questioning in a murder case.

Alkaline can also shed the novice on the stage label if he can walk the talk and deliver at Reggae Sumfest 2017.
