Milwaukee is as racist as one of their top athletes and they are proud of it.

In his first outing after he was exposed for racist and homophobic tweets, Milwaukee Brewers’ pitcher, Josh Hader, now known as Josh Hater, received a standing ovation from his home crowd. Fans at Miller Park gave him what was the equivalent of a purple-heart war hero’s welcome as he entered Saturday night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“It means a lot,” Hader said, per ESPN.com’s Bradford Doolittle. “Having Milwaukee’s support, just knowing that they know my true character.”

The fact that a bigot got a standing ovation at a baseball game in Milwaukee should not be surprising as the state of Wisconsin is ranked #1 in the U.S. for racial inequality.

The special report titled Black and White Inequality in All 50 States considered 10 separate social and economic measures that tend to be unequal along racial lines. 24/7 Wall St. reviewed and ranked all 50 U.S. states based on inequality, from most to least equal. The study measured gaps between black and white residents in areas like unemployment, income and homeownership.

The report said that the Wisconsin African American population is 6.2% (24th smallest) and that the median household income for African Americans is $29,223 less than half of the median household income for whites which was $59,056.

The report stated that the unemployment rate for black people in Wisconsin was 10.6 percent to 3.8 percent for white.
White people in Wisconsin were about three times more likely to own a home – homeownership rate was 26.2% for blacks and 71.6% for whites. While black people in Wisconsin were about 11 times more likely to be incarcerated. The report stated that the incarceration rate (per 100,000) was 2,542 (black), 221 (white).

Hader was not suspended for the racist and homophobic tweets but will be required to undergo sensitivity training.
