Bob Marley Marijuana

Bob Marley having a marijuana brand is no surprise, it is expected. Bob Marley having a brand of marijuana that has absolutely nothing to do with Jamaica, is somewhat shocking. This is not the fault of The Marleys, rather it is the fault of the stupid Jamaican Government, not worthy to be called Jamaica’s leadership. No one has the slightest idea what is taking them so long to make marijuana legal.

The Marleys could not be expected to wait on a Government the has consistently ran from progress to legalize marijuana, so they can cash in on the green gold, not when the United States raked in almost 6 billion dollars from legal marijuana last year.

So the Marleys have partnered with corporate America, a partnership you would least expect when you think of Rasta and have now officially started to market the Bob Marley’s brand of marijuana.

Backed by Privateer Holdings, a Seattle-based private equity firm focused on the cannabis indsutry, the Marley Natural brand is clearly designed to appeal to a wider customer base than college kids with a Bob Marley “Legend” poster on their dorm room wall. Body care products like hemp seed lotion and body wash, as well as accessories like a wood-accented bubbler and black walnut wooden case, are available for order online.

The company’s brand of legal marijuana is now available in Los Angeles, with plans to bring it to the rest of California, Colorado, Washington, Nevada and Oregon later this year. And all the products are cleanly packaged enough to look not out of place at your local Whole Foods.

The Marleys claim that proceeds from the profit will be donated to farmers in Jamaica but that should be taken with a grain of salt.

  1. Why doesn’t Peter Tosh family start a marijuana company that is managed, farmed, and marketed by Jamaicans & not by whites at all. I’d rather buy that.
