Busy Signal who had been without a United Sates visa for many years has finally gotten his visa back. The artist is currently in New York City.
Busy Signal’s booking agent, Carla Gullota, says the entertainer will be in New York for a few days then off to Europe to perform on 17 shows between January 28 and February 21.
“He is very popular in Europe. He is one of the most requested artists,” Gullota said, while adding that Busy has not been there since 2014.
“He needed a sabbatical. He wanted to concentrate on all the stress and trauma that he went through so he took a break,” she said.
The European tour will see Busy Signal going to countries such as Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.
Gullota said Europe is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Nah go a Jail Again star.
“I am very happy for him. I promote him and for him for several years and I am around him during the good times and the bad times. This is the good times and we have to be happy for what is happening now,” she said.
Busy Signal’s voluntary return to the US is another stage of his life, which saw him being arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport in Jamaica in May 2012 on an extradition warrant. He was subsequently locked up in US federal prison for two months for absconding bail.
“Busy is special. Busy has a wonderful voice and a big talent and so he was deserving of a second chance,” Gullota said.
