After being dissed by Drake, Funkmaster Flex made it clear that he would be teaching Drake a lesson. Well, tonight the Funkmaster released his long awaited surprise. The only thing is it was not really a surprise as everyone pretty much knew about everything he said. Fans thought Flex would release a dis track by Eminem meant for Drake but that did not happen. Instead below are the interesting excerpts from the shots FunkMaster Flex took at Drake.
Flex reminded Drake of back in 2008 when he was supposedly freestyling at Hot 97 but was caught on video actually reading the lyrics from a Blackberry. At first Hot 97 did not want to make the video public as they did not want to embarrass Drake, however, Drake’s camp insisted on the video being released.

“This guy and his people continue to call Cipha Sounds’ (former Hot 97 DJ) phone! And Cipha said, we’re not gonna put out the video, it’s gonna make him look bad,” Flex said. “He and his people keep calling and asking. I put the video up. They help circulate the video. Video comes out, everybody jokes on him for it, but yo, he got bars! You wanted people to think that you wrote your bars. Because you knew the day would come when people might see and question your pen.”

Drake called for Hot 97 to fire Flex if they wanted Drake to perform at their show. Flex made it clear that he was not overly concerned about losing his job because of Drake.

“I’m not really worried about you making me lose my job,” Flex said. “Want me to tell you why? 70% of your fans wear high heels. The other 30% are guys who wear sandals. I’m not concerned about you, bruh. I’m just not concerned, I’m sorry.”

Flex then went on to tease Drake about how he got roughed up by P Diddy, so much so that the Canadian rapper had to get a cast for his hand.

It is difficult to say how effective Funkmaster Flex’s shots were at Drake. When fans are expecting a dis record from Eminem and you can only tell them things they already know, it sounds like a dud.
