Reggae star Jah Cure can’t seem to catch a break. Just weeks after the crooner was involved in a hotel brawl, his sister, Mckadia Alcock, is facing charges for allegedly trying to smuggle cocaine into the United States.
According to information gathered from the official website of the Broward County Sheriff’s office, Alcock was charged with importation of cocaine, possession of cocaine, conspiracy to import cocaine, and conspiracy to possess cocaine and is being held without bond at the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Broward County.
As 18 Karat Reggae reported, Mckadia was arrested on December 21, 2016 at the Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. If she is convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
This is the same sister that Jah Cure sung about in the song “Call on me”:
We grew together from way back when
She was nine and I was ten
She used to be, my next door neighbour
She even went to school with my sister Mckadia
