In the music industry there are studio artists and there are entertainers.  It is very early in Shenssea’s career but the Jamaican beauty seems to be trending toward being a studio artist.

The “Blessed” singer had her shot to entertain a huge audience at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida but her performance fell way south of being entertaining.  In fact, the best part of her performance might have been when she was rolled on stage in a jerk pan with Romeich playing the chef, proof that the man Spice dubbed as “the big bell man” does enjoy cooking what he eats.

Shenseea might have been more entertaining if she had done a karaoke performance but instead she looked like she was either at a sing along or training to become an MC. They played Shenseea’s songs while the songstress tried to sing along but only uttering a few of the lines.

Fans were quick to point out that the performance was “lame” with some going into even more colorful critique online.

“Can she sing??…or is she another villi minili lol,” asked Vince Ngohe, obviously referring to the 90s lip sync group Milli Vanilli.

She not singing..I would not pay to see this.” said Marlon Breadhead Clunis.

Probably the most witty comment was from Herbert Samuels, who said, “This performance is like making cornmeal porridge without salt or milk.” Maybe he should have said the performance was like jerking chicken without jerk seasoning and the feathers still on the chicken.

Shenseea does deserve credit for not setting women backwards with another “my pussy is blessed” comment.  She also brought on Ding Dong and Tarrus Riley to share the stage with her which was excellent as she is showing that while she is rising she is willing to lift others up with her.

At only 24 years old, time is on the Run Run singer’s side to improve her craft and master the heart of live performance.  It will be interesting to see how much she improves by the time her performance before the next international audience comes around.  Talking to veterans like Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Spice and Junior Gong might not hurt.
