A unique and determined musician currently residing in Dublin, Ireland. Jamaica Dre’ aka Dre Kannon is the son of the late great Reggae/Dancehall singer Banana Man who was most present in the early 90s recording for King Jammys and a host of other producers dominating the industry at the time. Dre’ is one of the only Jamaican born musicians waving the culture flag in Ireland and has made a name for himself by bringing his unique sounds and energy to the Irish listeners.
In 2011 the dubbed “urban/ reggae singer” by Beat 102-103 FM radio in the south of Ireland met with Damian Marley on his European tour with Nas who gave him some words of encouragement and walked with the young singer through Temple Bar, Dublin which gave him a chance to see the love and support of the people first hand after which he was charged up and ready for the music world.
Dre remembers his 1st time performing at age 9 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at a show where his father was a headliner and that was what sparked the young mans drive to gain a place in the music industry. That said he went on to do many things including artist management, marketing and designs just to name a few which he felt like it was essential in the fast moving, ever changing industry.
The singer is planning to touch down in his birthplace sometime in 2017 to showcase his talent before attempting to take on the world.
His style is similar to the likes of Drake, Popcaan, Demarco & Tory Lanez.
