In the middle of Vybz Kartel’s appeal trial, the world boss’ former protege, Popcaan, is releasing his second studio album aptly titled FOREVER.

It is almost like Popcaan wants the world to know that regardless if Karte is free of behind bars, he Popcaan is the leader of dancehall and he intends to reign forever.

The album is currently available on all the online outlets and a release party was kept at the Triple Century car park in New Kingston, Jamaica.

The 30-yearold Popcaan did give shout outs to Vybz Kartel as he always does before performing at the release party.

Forever contains new songs like Body So Good, Firm and Strong and Wine for Me. The set is produced by American Dre Skull of Mixpak Records, who also produced Popcaan’s 2014 debut album Where We Come From. That project peaked at number two on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.

The only collaboration on Forever is with African act Davido on the single Dun Rich.

Since Popcaan first album peaked at number two on the reggae chart, it will be interested to see if his second album can make it to number one.
