The police are busy trying to capture and alleged murderer on the run. While it is nothing new for the police to be trying a capture a murderous fugitive, in this case the alleged murderer is only 11-years-old.
The 11-year-old is wanted for using a machete to hack a 14-year-old to death and then fleeing the scene of the crime. The 14-year-old is, Orane Johnson, of Lowe River Primary and Junior High School in Trelawny, Jamaica.
Police reported that sometime between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, the two boys had a heated argument which escalated into a fight in the normally quiet farming community of Lowe River, Trelawny. A machete was brought into play, which was used to inflict chop wounds to the head of the 14-year-old.
He reportedly ran from the road onto nearby premises where he collapsed and died.
Up until press time, the 11-year-old is till on the run.
The quiet community which before this incident has not been affected by the crime wave sweeping Jamaica, is now in complete shock, disbelief and grief.
