I don’t buy White reggae. It doesn’t seem authentic.

Again, I did write a comment on why I think jamaican music has gone from being “IT”, to somewhat obscurity, not an article on why white artists in particular are doing good on the reggae sales charts.

First of all, I wrote this as a response to “jamaican reggae is dying” and has nothing to do with why there are whites are dominating the sales at the moment.
It was not my title and not what I was thinking of as I wrote it. My first language is not english, so I dont know if Ihave been misunderstood or what. But for example I wrote “if americans play reggae with more pride and musicianship etc..” I never wrote if WHITE americans…”. Its a twist that kind of make it seem that Im talking about white musicians in particular. My point is that it seems, at least from the outside, that the jamaican music industry has not “managed their gold wisely”, and that if others, black OR white put more effort in making quality reggae music, well I guess thats what people gonna buy. And to make it clear, I am not talking about Joss Stone or these illustrated in this article. I am talking about the likes of Groundation or Ziggy Recado, Alborosie etc, etc..
