Actor and singer Chris Hardman aka Lil Chris, who rose to fame at just 15-years-old in Channel 4’s ‘Rock School’ in 2006, has passed away at the age of 24.

Messages of sadness and support have been pouring in on Twitter for the talented musician, who is thought to have taken his own life, although this has not been confirmed.

The Suffolk-born star had posted a number of tweets in recent month alluding to his struggle within the music industry.

While the sad news has not yet been confirmed by Chris’ rep, a number of his friends have posted messages of condolence.

A police spokesperson confirmed to The Sun: “Police investigating sudden death of a man in Lowestoft can confirm they are not treating it as suspicious.”
