My chain is nicer than yours.

When I created ” Who Gots The Flyest Chain” I was thinking of the state of Hip Hop in general and the mental slaves it is now helping to create. We have allowed corperate intities to control and dictate a music that was initally used to teach and promote unity and fun turn into a detailed blueprint for mental slavery and death. I’m fortunate to have grown up in the infancy of the kulture to know the difference. We used to “Fight the Power” and “Know The Ledge”(knowledge) now we pop glocks(chain), serve rocks(chain), and disrespect the very foundation of our nation the black woman(chain). Our women strive to be video hoes(chain) and not free thinkers, doctors or lawyers and our men are lining up to head straight to jails and grave plots. So in escences it is “Bigger Than Hip Hop”. I don’t care how many homes or donations you make to the community if your still promoting and rapping about death it cancels all the good you have done out. So if my work inspires even one ghetto youth stop and think and then he/she teaches the next one to stop and think my job is complete for now but the struggle continues. Turn off the radio and the Tele- lie-vision and lets get free. Peace and Blessing Hiero
