Reportedly written on an aeroplane in 1979, Could You Be Loved appeared on Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Uprising album the following year. The track is also included on Bob Marley and the Wailers greatest hit album Legend. Marley’s daughter CEDELLA Marley, makes the staple  putting a spin on it all for charity.

The track was Produced by Stephen Marley and released on May 6, the acoustic rendition is distributed by Tuff Gong International. “The single is released in honour of Mother’s Day weekend and will benefit WHOA (Women Helpng Others Achieve),” read a release.
Sales from the single will benefit the charity which is a female empowerment programme that supports women in Jamaica and other Caribbean territories. The WHOA aims to raise the level of awareness and provide women with the skills, resources and knowledge to bring sustainable change for themselves, their families and their community.

Cedella Marley is also a clothing designer & author of the children’s book  – Three Little Birds and Every Little Thing also a spin off from her legendary fathers single siliarly titled!
