Let’s face it, Usain Bolt is an ambassador for Jamaica. He is probably the most famous Jamaican after Bob Marley, if not more so than Bob Marley. In fact, if you visit the Jamaican Citizenship website (PICA), it lists Bob Marley, Usain Bolt and Tessanne Chin as the main reasons to want to become a Jamaican.
In Jamaica crime is currently out of control. A shooting resulting in multiple deaths is becoming and everyday event.
In the midst of all this, Jamaica’s current favorite son, Usain Bolt, is showing his tremendous respect and admiration from dancehall artist Vybz Kartel, who is a convicted murderer. What kind of example is this showing to the youths of Jamaica? Surely Usain Bolt can show is love for the music with promoting Vybz Kartel the man.
Maybe Usain Bolt think Vybz Kartel is innocent, as many Jamaicans do, but Usain is not an average Jamaican. He is looked up to by almost all of Jamaica and he needs to set an example of someone who is in a place of authority.
In a recent stint as a selector at Uptown Mondays. Bolt said the following:
“One likkle youth a try imitate the Gaza youth, mi nah call nuh name … three blind mice, three blind mice. All when him incarcerate and a easy himself. When the boss come a road, hear mi a seh? I will be downtown for the Gaza Boss, hear mi seh,” Bolt belted over the microphone.
These kind of statements create division among dancehall fans, when what Jamaica needs is someone to unite the people. Plus young minds are impressionable. When a young person sees someone the stature of Usain Bolt bigging up a convicted murdered, they will no doubt start to believe that it is good to be bad.
Shut the fuck up with your prejudice journalism. Where you went to school for it? Fool. You support whosoever music you want to. Usain prefers Kartels music. What’s the problem? Two superstars who know their talent is above the rest, they can do what the fuck they want. You must have been one of the jurors or family member of the police who were in the jury to send this man to jail. All cause a dirty heart. You review. The data or case/patheticness of the case and prosecution??? You should be ashamed to call him a convicted murderer. Him murder somebody for you? Do you Jamaica “justice” system or Jamaica period?

Jamaica as sweet as it is, is a bias, corrupted, scheming, shady ass country. You see the leaders?? They take talk and orders from police and dons. You see the police, they get orders from the dons.
You see a talented yute like kartel who does not conform or get bullied, is too influential, brings factions together; WILL be brought down. He was speaking out against them/system too much-youtube videos and all- he had to go down.
He ain’t no angel, he was a discipline child, and got very wild. Yet be a journalist and do your job.
