Before Lady Saw gave up her throne in dancehall to follow her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she was already getting up there in age. Even though she was older than most of the other female dancehall artists, she was ruling the throne with ease. Many wondered who was fit enough to rule Saw’s queendom once she decided to step aside.

Now that Saw has been a devout Christian for a while and it seems obvious, that Marion Hall has no plans to backslide, reggae fans will need to crown a new queen of the dancehall.

No one may be more fitting to step in the space left behind by Lady Saw than Ishwana. In fact, it might be time for Ishawna to change her name to Lady Shaw.

Sure Ishawn does not possess the lyrical talent of Lady Saw but she has surrounded herself with some great writers. Ishawna is also a great performer who can be just as provocative and sexually X-Rated as Lady Saw. Furthermore, the dancehall scene is not exactly over-flooding with female talent at this current time.

Ishawna’s private life with Foota Hype has been the public’s business much like Lady Saw’s relationship with Jon Jon has been in the public eyes.

In a male dominated field like dancehall with not a lot of female depth, Ishawna should become Lady Shaw and sit on the throne as queen of the dancehall.
