They say religion causes division and every day we see it playing out. The most recent case is a Christian man who killed his own daughter for the simple fact that she was dating a Muslim man.
The Israeli man had warned his daughter multiple times to end the relationship and when she continued to refuse, he stabbed her multiple times.
Prosecutors say Sami Karra, 58, killed his daughter in their family home in the central Israeli town of Ramle, a day after she graduated from high school.
The daughter, 17-year-old Henriette Karra, was in a relationship with a Muslim man throughout her senior year in high school.
In late May, Henriette left the family home after threats and abuse from her parents, the indictment said. She stayed with her boyfriend’s mother for part of the time.
Henriette’s family tried to bring her back home – using threats against her and her boyfriend’s mother to put pressure on her to return, the indictment says.
When Henrietta finally returned home, she told her father she was about to convert to Islam which sent him in a rage and he stabbed her 3 times killing her on the spot.
