18 Karat Reggae has been informed by reliable source that the widow of Bob Marley, Rita Marley has been hospitalized in Miami after suffering a severe stroke.

The matriarch of the Marley family was in Miami to attend an event but her appearance had to be cancel after her illness.

It is understood that she had suffered a stroke before, but this is considered the most serious and members of the family have been tight-lipped about her condition, but have been closely monitoring her condition.

Seventy-year-old Marley, born Alpharita Anderson in Santiago de Cuba in July 1946, is the mother of three of Bob Marley’s 13 children; Ziggy, Cedella and Stephen.

Let’s all pray that this matriarch and legend of reggae music will have a speedy and full recovery.
