Beyoncé has a strong message for her fans in regards to the murder of George Floyd and she is not biting her tongue or mincing her words. Unlike her cowardly husband, Jay Z, who has been quiet since the Minneapolis police murdered yet another innocent Black man, Beyoncé it making it clear where she stands on the issue.
The songstress and diva encouraged her fans to not only pay attention to the blatant racism in America but to also stand up and do something about it.
“We need justice for George Floyd. We all witnessed his murder in broad daylight. We’re broken and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalize this pain,” Beyoncé started the video which was posted on all her social media platforms.
“I’m not only speaking to people of color. If you’re white, black, brown, or anything in-between, I’m sure you feel hopeless about the racism going on in America right now,” she continued.
She goes on to say, “No more senseless killings of human beings. No more seeing people of color as less than human. We can no longer look away.”
“He’s our family because he’s a fellow American. There have been too many times that we’ve seen these violent killings, and no consequences,” she shared. “Yes, someone’s been charged, but justice is far from being achieved. Please sign the petition and continue to pray for peace, compassion and healing for our country.”
