
Over the years numerous dancehall and reggae songs have been sampled by both pop and hip hop stars, the latest being Tekashi 6ix9ine and his sample of Left Side’s “Phat Punani”.
While most dancehall and reggae fans are happy for Left Side and the exposure he is getting from this sample, some did not appreciate that Tekashi 6ix9ine was dabbling in dancehall culture. Some even went as far as listing Reggae and Dancehall songs that the controversial should never sample.
