Fans of Buju Banton got a treat last week with the release of “Country for sale”, his first studio recording since his release from prison. Now fans will get a chance to hear even more from the Gargamel as he along with Sizzla and Mavado are featured on DJ Khaled’s new album, Father of Asahd.
The song on the album is called “Holy Mountain and it finds Buju Banton in fine form, spitting the great lyrics that we have come to expect from the legendary Rasta artiste.
“Right through the gates of hell, we powers of darkness and light. Hypocrites and jezebels dance to the devil’s delight,” Buju Banton chants on the song.
Sizzla and Mavado also laid down some excellent bars proving that reggae and dancehall are still alive and well.
Holy Mountain would have been the best song on the album if it was not for a track called Higher which features John Legend and the late rapper, Nipsey Hussle.
Buju Banton is currently working on his own studio album and the word on the street is that DJ Khaled will be returning the blessing on Buju’s album.
