Members of the 18 Karat Reggae crew along with two of the top immigration lawyers in the Southern United States went to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Atlanta, Georgia in an effort to bail dancehall sensation, Dovey Magnum, from custody. Their attempt, however, has been denied so far.
Dovey Magnum, born Simsky Kimberly Harrison, is in custody at the Stewart Detention Centre in the state.
Dovey Magnum’s detainment means the singer may be unable to attend Purity’s All White weekend bash in Florida slated for Sunday.
She was scheduled to headline the event alongside Dexta Daps.
18 Karat Reggae made every attempt to get the superstar out before the weekend as the artiste would most likely have to wait until Monday to see a judge if she is not granted bail by end of day Friday..
There have been rumors that the Bawl Out singer might be deported but 18 Karat Reggae’s attorneys have sad that with just a violation and no other crime committed that is very unlikely.
An attempt will be made to talk to the judge again about the entertainer’s bail. Follow the 18 Karat Reggae YouTube channel for minute by minute info as this ordeal plays out.
