Oozing original 90’s Dancehall vibes, yet featuring young talents like Kacique, Devin Di Dakta, C Monii, Deeclef and Sekklez, the recently released Beat Zinc Fence riddim has just been picked up by Pandora’s “New Dancehall Now” playlist.
Produced by New York City based Romario English, when asked what his inspiration for the project was, he stated “The Beat Zinc Fence riddim was inspired by negative remarks I constantly hear about Dancehall music losing its original feel. So, I decided to bring back that flavor, while adding a youthful twist.”
Diego Herrera, Head of Caribbean Music Programming at Pandora, added “English has brought back a style that recalls the sounds of Ward 21, TJ Records, or ZJ Chrome and enlisted young talents to bring their fresh take on dancehall to the riddim and that’s what sparked our interest in this particular project.”
Streaming now on Pandora and digital platforms worldwide, English has also produced hits, such as Rolling by Spice, Good Body Gyal by Unknown Gringo, as well as Aphrodesia by Teejay and PG Valentina (a co-production with Great X Production).
