Usain Bolt confirms retirement; petition started to beg him not to retire.

Usain Bolt has confirmed that Rio 2016 is his last Olympics but a petition has been started to beg the living legend to stick around.

At the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Usain Bolt will only be 33 and his fans and his coach believe his fitness can carry him through to those games. If it wasn’t for Bolt, Gatlin who is 34 would have won gold in Rio and fans are pointing to this as the main reason Bolt should not retire.

However, unless his fans all over the world can convince him others, Bolt seems set on having this Olympics be his last.

“It’ll definitely be my last Olympics,” Bolt said. “It’s going to be hard to go four more years for me, to keep the motivation that I want, especially if I accomplish all what I want to in Rio.

Bolt has already won gold in the 100m and looking to win the 200m as well as the 4 x 100m relay.

He hopes to have taken his tally to nine golds by the time competition in Rio has concluded in August.

“My biggest dream at the Olympics is to win three gold medals again. That’s my focus, that’s what I want. And that’s what I’m aiming for because that’s my goal and that’s my dream,” Bolt said.
