When it comes to female rappers, if you want to talk about hype and record sales, then talk about Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. However, if you want to talk about real talent and true lyricist, you have to look to the UK.
The best female rapper right now and quite possible the best female rapper ever is definitely England’s Lady Leshurr. When it comes to raw talent, she stands head and shoulder above all other female rappers.
In fact, you could team up Remy May, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B to battle Lady Leshurr and the trio would lose easily. That is how good Lady Leshurr is. At first it seemed like it was just rap braggadocio when she said “Even when am looking down, I never ever see defeat” but after hearing her on multiple tracks, no real hip hop head would disagree with her.
Birdman thinks Nicki Minaj is the best female rapper ever but it is obvious that he has never heard Lady Leshurr, either that or he is bias because Nicki is part of his YMCMB family, or he could just be plain lying to himself and hip hop fans.
“I always say she’s the best ever, best female ever in hip-hop, hands down, facts. There’s no getting around it,” Birdman stated. “There’s levels to this shit. Very much levels to this shit. She’s an elite.”
At one point Nicki Minaj was an elite but she no longer is. Cardi B is her equal. They look like they share the same plastic surgeons and they sound like they share the same ghost writers.
Remy Ma is a step above Nicki and Cardi. Lady Leshurr is 13 steps above Remy, Nicky and Cardi combined. Her ting tun up.
