Jamaica-born American rapper, Safaree Samuels, has released a song called Computers, in which he pays homage to incarcerated dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel. Safaree is also the ex-boyfriend of platinum selling-rapper Nicki Minaj, the two recently separated after dating for 10 years.
The single Computers will be featured on Safaree’s debut mixtape called It is what it is to be released in coming months. The single sees Safaree attempting to deejay lines from Vybz Kartel’s single “Brooklyn Anthem” which draws attention to inner-city life especially in Brooklyn, New York.
The promotional photos for the single show Safaree advocating for Vybz Kartel’s freedom, he along with members of his team wearing black t-shirts with printed image ‘Free Vybz Kartel’.
