Two brothers marrying two sisters is rare. Though not normal, it is perfectly moral and legal. Two twin sisters marrying too twin brothers is even more rare. Two twin sisters marrying two twin brothers and all four living in the same house as one big family is not only rare, but some would say it is weird, if not downright creepy.
Identical twins Briana and Brittany, 35, married identical twins Josh and Jeremy Salyers, 37, but it did not stop there. The couples have decided to live together and share everything, well, hopefully not everything.
“You’ve heard the term Irish twins and you’ve heard identical twins and fraternal twins,” Briana Salyers told 18 Karat Reggae. “But we have quaternary twins.”
Both couples have given birth to sons who are only 2 months apart and this is where the weirdness comes in. The boys are not only first cousins on both sides of their families but genetically they are brothers. Since identical twins share the same DNA, the children of two pairs of identical twins are legally cousins, but genetically biologically, they are siblings.
If both couples are into kinky hanky panky and partner swapping, if one of the women was not sure of which brother is the parent of the child, a DNA test would not be able to solve that mess. Then again, the fact that they choose to live together as one family means it probably would not matter.
“It was something we all four wanted and when we got engaged, we all wanted it that way,” Brittany told 18 Karat Reggae of the unconventional living arrangement. “It’s something that’s very nice. Josh and Jeremy understand the twin bond like we do. We get to have a lot of together time.” Yep, one can just imagine those together times.
At the end of the day, they are four consenting adults, they are not hurting anyone, and they seem to be happy. So, as we like to say at 18 Karat Reggae; Love is lovely, and hate is ugly. Let them live together in love and continue to be happy.
