Vybz Kartel, like most other Jamaicans, is not pleased about Jamaica’s high crime rate and he blames the government incompetence and corruptness for the problem.

The top flight deejay thinks the leaders of the country can clamp down on crime if they really want to; however, they are the biggest beneficiaries of the killings and mayhem.

The Fever singer also thinks that because most politicians along with their friends and family live uptown and crimes only affect the downtown people, they do not care that it is getting out of hand.

“Because the system run by Bakras & Boasty Slaves… Puppets for the western powers…& overall common criminals,” Kartel posted on Instagram.

While Kartel did not mention how the Jamaican government is allowing foreign nationals and companies to reap the rewards of the island’s marijuana decriminalization while making it also impossible for Jamaicans to benefit, he did touch on how denying people the pursuit of wealth can increase crimes.

“When is not limiting access to education, employment, basic stuff like roads electricity & running water, or even our pursuit of wealth, its limiting we very physical movement. disrupting the ppls economic lifeline. basic domination of the Masses. Slavery 2.0. A traitor dem!” Vybz Kartel said.
