Alkaline was supposed to report to the police at 5PM today or a warrant would be issued for his arrest in regard to a January 13th murder case. The entertainer did not show up at the police station but his attorney did.
Alkaline will instead report to the police at 9:00 am tomorrow, a time agreed upon by his attorney and the police.
The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the information arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), did not say what prompted the request.
The deejay had been given until 5:00 pm today to report to Area 4 Headquarters at Harman Barracks in Vineyard Town for questioning in regards to the murder of Rohan Morris.
Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, head of the CCU, yesterday said efforts were made to contact Alkaline but the police were unsuccessful.
Alkaline’s management was unable to provide any information on the artiste.
18 Karat Reggae understands that high-ranking members of the JCF met today to discuss the matter. Morris was murdered in Maverley, St Andrew.
