The Jamaican Government has issued an advisory to its citizens, urging them to reconsider travel to the United States due to the high level of mass shootings in the country.

In an update to their website on Wednesday, the Government of Jamaica says mass shootings occur regularly in many places including schools, workplaces, shopping malls and even churches throughout the United States.

Jamaican government personnel are prohibited from travelling to many areas in the US due to increased risk.

It says gun crimes, such as people being killed for mistakenly driving into the wrong driveway or knocking on the wrong door, children getting killed for trying to get an education and even those killed while practicing their religion in their places of worship have all been on the rise in the gun loving country.
