Dancehall sensation Shenseea is riding high these days but it seems like there are even higher heights in the Jamaican princess’ future.
Less than a week after fellow dancehall artist, Spice, let the secret out of the bag that both Drake and 21 Savage will be featured on Shenseea’s upcoming album, 18 Karat Reggae has learned that the Jamaican will also be featured on Drake’s album, “Certified Lover Boy”.
In a recent interview, Drake declined to say the exact release date of the album, however, he assured fans that it will be before the end of summer. Drake collaborating with a dancehall star is nothing new as the Canadian rapper has also collaborated with Popcaan who is also signed to the rappers OVO label.
Certified Lover Boy, Drake’s sixth album, was originally scheduled for release in January. That month, he took to his Instagram Stories to announce that the album would be postponed to a later date.
“I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet and feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”
Shenseea has not announced when her album or EP will be released but the fact that she has been absent from Instagram since June 1st has her 4.1 million followers believing she is busy in the studio.
