18 Karat Reggae Gold 2020 has debuted at number one on the European Reggae Chart, which comprises of Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Norway.

The top album from Jamaica with the lead track “Ganja For Life” by Mr. Bertus was released to much fanfare throughout the reggae community.

Since the launch of the album it has been the most played Reggae album on Apple Music and the second most played on Spotify.

There is no shortage of crowd pleasers and hit songs on “18 Karat Reggae Gold 2020” including “Fallen Fighters” by Fitzroy Face, “Plastic Smile” by Mr. Bertus and “One Day” by Rasta Progress. These three artists have been recently labeled as the fastest rising artists out of Jamaica right now. They are also commended for bringing back message music to a space that has been dominated by sex, violence, drugs and alcohol.

The compilation is rich with artists who have current and upcoming projects. Rasta Progrez’ album “Next in line” is due out later this month and Mr. Bertus is in the studio putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album.

Other gems on the album is “Best Of Me” by Fitzroy Face and Melanie’s remake of the Marcia Griffiths classic “Stepping out of Babylon”.

18 Karat Reggae Gold 2020 also had a fitting cover by these times which feature artwork of King David standing with Goliath’s head in his hand.
