Swipey the rapper

Rapper Swipey was shot and killed early Sunday morning in his Washington, D.C. neighborhood. The rapper had a very large following both in the D.C. region and online.

Swipey, whose real name was Douglas Brooks, was found shortly after 1 a.m. outside a home in the 3600 block of Parkway Terrace Drive in Suitland. Police had responded to a call of gunshots and found Brooks, 18. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Police said Sunday that they do not believe the shooting was random, but that they were still working to determine a suspect and motive. They are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the killing.

  1. Sad that the young generation resolve the indifference by killing another human being, God help them to become modest citizen and have love for others
