Snoop Dogg is reminding us of the days when he was Snoop Lion; a child of Jah, a warrior for righteousness, a voice for justice, a soldier for equal rights and a die hearted protector of the Black woman.
When Snoop told Gayle King that he would come for her after she asked Lisa Leslie “disrespectful” questions about Kobe Bryant, we at 18 Karat Reggae were very disappointed because that is not the African Lion we remembered visiting Jamaica a few years ago. Real African warriors do not harm or hurt the Black woman. Real African warriors kill to protect the Black woman and are willing to die protecting the Black woman.
So after the threat to Gayle we sent Snoop a public letter letting him know he was in the wrong and suggesting he made an apology to Gayle. Not only make an apology but let his fans know that they should not act up on his words.
We are very happy to see that Snoop did the right thing, the big man thing, the Snoop Lion thing and not only issued an apology but let his fans and followers know that they should not do anything stupid.
Big up to Snoop. Let’s follow is lead and realize that when we are wrong we should never let pride and ego keep us from apologizing.
