Popular regggae artiste, Munga Honorebel, was involved in a deadly crash on the Mandela Highway in St. Catherine, Jamaica.
A Canadian woman who was touring the island lost her life in the crash the vehicle at fault was allegedly the one being driven by the reggae artiste.
She has been identified as 26-year-old Tashana Cumberback.
The crash occurred close to 6AM according to the police Corporate Communications Unit (CCU).
The reggae artiste, whose real name is Damion Rhoden, and another man involved in the crash have been hospitalized in stable condition.
According to the police, Munga and three other men were travelling in a Toyota motorcar when the reggae artise lost control of the vehicle in the Ferry area.
It’s reported that the vehicle collided into a Suzuki Vitara sport utility vehicle, which then crashed into a minibus in which Cumberback was a passenger. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Munga Honorebel has been having a stretch have bad luck over the years. A few years ago, the reggae artiste almost lost his life when he was attacked and chopped. The man who chopped Munga was killed a year later and Munga Honorebel is facing murder charges over the man’s death.
The reggae artiste is due in cour this year to answer to the murder charges.
