“Father of Asahd”, the album by DJ Khaled is only two days away from its release but the only thing Jamaicans and reggae fans worldwide want to know is whether or not Buju Banton will be on the album.
DJ Khaled was in Jamaica just a couple weeks after Buju Banton was released from prison and videos flooded the internet of the rapper and the reggae legend in the studio together. This led to many speculations that the two were working on a collaboration for the rapper’s album.
While DJ Khaled has given fans a view of the album cover via his Instagram, he has remained tightlipped about the collaborations on the album and his team refused to say if Buju Banton would be a feature.
18 Karat Reggae understands that Cardi B and the late Nipsey Hustle are featured on the album but our attempts to find out if Buju Banton was on it, were futile.
Buju Banton is working on his own album and his manager, Donovan Germaine, expects that it will be out in the September to October timeframe.
