After 24 years of marriage, Dr. Dre’s wife Nicole Young has called it a day, moved out of their house and has filed for divorce. When the couple got married in 1996 they did not sign a prenup so Dre who Forbes magazine estimated is worth $800 million could be parting with not only his other half but also half of his wealth.
Attorneys for the pair did not immediately respond to 18 Karat Reggae’s request for comment, however, the court filing shows that Nicole is seeking spousal support.
The couple has two children together and Dr. Dre has four other children from previous relationships. One of Dre’s other children died in 2008 at age 20.
Dr. Dre is one of the founding members of rap group NWA and he was also co-founder of Death Row Records before he moved on to form his own label Aftermath Entertainment. Eminem and 50 Cent were both signed to Aftermath.

Dre also produced music for other rappers like 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Kendrick Lamar and his own album “The Chronic” is considered a hip hop classic.
